Special Performance from Alanya Theatre on December 3RD the International Day of People with Disabilities

A special performance was prepared by the Alanya Municipality Theatre for December 3rd the International Day of People with Disabilities. The new play “Hours” prepared by the Alanya Theatre Children Unit and the award-winning play “Dear Pupil of My Heart” will take the stage at the Alanya Municipality Cultural Centre on December 3rd and 4th.

The new play “Hours”, prepared by 11 special children and 11 parents for the International Day of People with Disabilities on December 3rd, will be staged for the first time at the Cultural Centre Municipality Theatre Hall on 3 December at 16.00. Providing information about the play the Alanya Municipality Theatre Director Hüseyin Çinal said, “As it is known, December 3rd, the International Day of People with Disabilities is an awareness day celebrated with various activities around the world. As the Alanya Municipality Theatre, we stage a play every year on this special day. This year we prepared a new play. In our play, 22 people, 11 of them our children and 11 of them our parents, take part.”

TWO PLAYS AT ONCE

“We have completed all our preparations for the play”, said the Director Çinal, “On December 3rd and 4th, at 16.00, at the Alanya Cultural Centre, first the play named “Dear Pupil of My Heart”, which was chosen as the best children’s play by the 2nd International New Theatre Magazine last year, and then we will present our play called “Hours”, which will be performed by special children and their mothers, with our audience. We invite all our citizens”.

CONVERSATION WITH MOTHER

Written and directed by Nilbanu Engindeniz, the play “Hours” is an interview and documentary-like play about the conversation between special children and their mothers. The new play “Hours” and “Dear Pupil of My Heart” will be staged one after the other and the total duration of two plays is approximately 80 minutes.
